Obituary

Jason Wayne "Bubba" Sultz, 47, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 28, 2024 at his home.

Born June 17, 1977 in Winfield, he was the son of David and Teresa (Alberding) Sultz.  Jason was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School.  Following high school, he earned his associate's degree in machining from Cowley College.

Jason owned and operated his own automobile transportation trucking business.  Additionally, he worked as a machinist and mechanic at various companies including Rubbermaid, Silgan, and Morton Buildings.

His hobbies include fishing, camping, and working on trucks.  Jason was a Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster for troop #328 in Arkansas City.  He also enjoyed farming duties including raising chickens, pigs, cows, and horses.

His family includes his children, Madison Sultz, Brodie Sultz, and Tucker Sultz, all of Winfield; parents David and Teresa Sultz of Winfield; brother Jeremy Sultz and wife, Kristina of Winfield; and nieces, Hannah Sultz, Sarrah Sultz (Ryan Pugmire), and Emmah Sultz (Reese Venable); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.  A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.  The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.

Memorials have been established in Jason's name for the American Heart Association and for Boy Scouts of America Troop #328 in Arkansas City.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
