James Robert Christian, 40, of Rose Hill, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021.

James was born February 25, 1980 in Wichita, the son of Robert Christian and Joan Kilpatrick.  He graduated from Derby High School in 1998 and went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corps in 2001.

James was united in marriage to Megan M. Orth on August 23, 2002 and went on to have three beautiful children together.  He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing, and hunting.

James is survived by his wife Megan and their three children, Aidan, Logan, and Mason Christian all of Rose Hill; his father Robert Christian and wife, Lori of Derby; his mother Joan Kilpatrick of Wichita; his brothers, Michael Christian and wife, Kristy of Wichita; Garret Christian of Wichita; his grandmother Betty Christian of Wichita; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Rita Orth of Haysville; his sisters-in-law, Carissa Orth and fiancé, Nic Pearce of Memphis, TN; Erica Smith and husband, Ricky of Haysville; Courtney Schoen and husband, Jordan of Ardmore, OK; and his nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Christian.

Funeral services will be held at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Monday, January 11 at 1:00 P.M.  Interment with military committal honors will follow at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield.  A visitation with family will be at the funeral home Sunday, January 10 from 2 to 4.

The family requests memorials be made to the James Christian Memorial Fund.  Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
