JAMES MICHAEL BEESON, 25, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, January 26, 2014 at his home.

Born on February 3, 1988 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Daniel G. and Cynthia L. (Archer) Beeson. He was raised and received his education in Arkansas City. As a young boy, James was very active in sports. He was on several basketball and baseball traveling teams.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Arkansas City. He also belonged to the Whittlers' Club. He loved fishing, woodworking, the outdoors and arts and crafts. James was an animal lover, especially his dogs, cats and birds.

His brothers: Chad Beeson and April Nittler of Arkansas City, KS; Brad Beeson and wife Jennifer of Arkansas City, KS; and Todd Beeson and wife Brandi of Dumas, TX; Otey Spires of Fort Bragg, NC;
His sisters: Lori Stewart and husband Chris of Maize, KS; and Stephanie Gordon of Wichita, KS;
His loving caregiver: Felicia Pierce; and
Several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.

A memorial has been established in James' name for the Cowley County Mental Health Department. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
