Jacqueline D. Findley, 82, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, March 4, 2020 at her home.

Born June 21, 1937 in Winfield, she was the daughter of John E. and Nadine M. (Spittler) Roberts.  She received her early education in Lawton, Oklahoma until 1949 when the family returned to Winfield.  Jacqueline attended Winfield High School and graduated in 1955.  Following high school, she worked for a short time as a waitress at White Lily Café.  While working at the café, she met John Edward Findley, and commented to a friend, "I'm going to marry him someday."

She was united in marriage to John Edward Findley on June 17, 1958 in Winfield.  The couple made their home in Winfield, where Jacqueline was a homemaker.  John preceded her in death on December 22, 2017.

Jacqueline enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning, crafting, coloring with her grandchildren, cooking, baking and breeding canaries.

Her family includes her children, Robin Briles and husband, Kevin of Winfield; Tammy Findley of Winfield; Darla Clay and husband, Paul of Winfield; her brother Johnie R. Roberts of Grove, OK; her grandchildren, Adrian Briles, Tristan Briles, Ashley Robinson, Latisha Lopez, Tyrone Clay, Paul Clay, Jr., and Whitney Clay; and 25 great grandchildren with Baby Jacqueline on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Roberts.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2:00 P.M at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.  Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Jacqueline's name for the Alzheimer's Association.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
