HENRY WAYNE LAUPPE, 53, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, April 20, 2014 at Winfield Rest Haven.

Born November 25, 1960 in Winfield, he was the son of Lacel Leroy and Helen Marie (Cunningham) Lauppe. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating Winfield High School in 1979. He began employment with USD 465 in 1979 as a custodian and worked there until his retirement in January 2014.

His daughter: Michelle Lauppe of Arkansas City;

His brother: Raymond Lauppe of Winfield;

His sisters: Reta Lauppe of Winfield; and Esther Voegele and husband, Danny of Arkansas City; and

His granddaughter: Caitlyn Lutes.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carl.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at the Burden Cemetery in Burden, Kansas. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 to 8. The family will greet visitors from 6 to 8 P.M.

A Memorial has been established in Henry's name for Harry Hynes Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
