HENRY E. BECKHAM, 69, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home.
Born on October 25, 1942 in Perry, Oklahoma, he was the son of Ben and Helen (Lau) Beckham, Jr. He received his education in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1961. As a young man he worked at Woods Grocery Store and later Leo Foote Conoco.
Henry proudly served his county in the United States Army for over 20 years and received 2 Bronze Stars. Following his retirement from the military he returned to Winfield.
He attended Grace Episcopal Church in Winfield and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #10 and Veterans of Foreign Wars #3544 in Winfield. Henry was also a lifetime member of the ASMVETs.

His son: Henry E. Beckham, II and wife Michelle of Oklahoma City, OK;
His daughters: Belanda Beckham of Maryland and Tina Keegan of Florida;
His sisters: Betty Jo Miller and husband Ron of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; and Mary Ann Watson and companion Ted Williams of Winfield, KS; and
His grandchildren: Robert Beckham, Brandon Beckham, Kory Keegan, Shelby Beckham and Kylie Keegan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Miles Funeral Service. Military committal honors will follow at Kansas Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
A memorial has been established in Henry's name for American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
