Obituary

Helen Seacat, 90, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2016 at Winfield Rest Haven.

Born July 1, 1925 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Uhl "Tom" and May (Danner) Seacat. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1943.

After school she began working in bookkeeping at First National Bank in Winfield. She remained with the bank for over 32 years, retiring as a Vice President in 1975.

Helen enjoyed working with Meals On Wheels, traveling and playing cards with and visiting with friends. She was a member of the William Newton Hospital Auxiliary and the Winfield Soroptimist Club.

In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by her brother Thornton Seacat, two sisters, Lizzie Dall, and Leora "Becky" Seacat, and a cousin, Edna Lucas. She was survived by numerous cousins.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 12, 2016 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private family burial will take place at Highland Cemetery.

Memorials have been established in Helen's name for the Cowley County Humane Society and for Winfield Rest Haven. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
