HELEN I. JORDAN CADWELL, 91, former Burden, Kansas resident, passed away Saturday morning, December 3, 2011 at Lake Point Nursing Center in El Dorado, Kansas.
Born on March 9, 1920 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Jack Lowell and Daisy Lee (R0se) Kinnamon. She was raised and received her education in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1938.
She was united in marriage to Leo L. Jordan on April 10, 1939 in Parsons, Kansas. The couple lived in St. Louis and later made their home Burden. Helen was employed at Arctic Locker in Burden. She later worked as a secretary for J.J. Banks and Shore and Sons. Mr. Jordan preceded her in death on June 29, 1986.
On March 29, 1991, Helen was united in marriage to Harold D. Cadwell in Winfield where the couple made their home. Mr. Cadwell preceded her in death on June 16, 2000.
She was member of the First Baptist Church in Winfield. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, canning and flowers.

Her sister: P.J. Rose of Lansing, ILL;
Her grandchildren: Greg Jordan, Mike Jordan, Gaye Cooper, Brandon Jordan. Lance Jordan, Kristi Thomas, Rachelle Blue, Shannon Jordan, Jeremy Jordan, Kemela David and Michelle Uriah; and
A host of great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Leland Jordan; brothers Jack, Don and Bob Kinnamon; and her sisters, Betty Elmore and Lorene Kinnamon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, Interment will follow at Burden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M, Tuesday, December 6, 2011. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., that evening.
Memorials have been established in Helen's name for the Latham Volunteer Fire Department, First Baptist Church in Winfield and Hospice Care of Kansas/El Dorado. Contributions may made through the funeral home.
