HAZEL J. STEWART, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday afternoon, February 13, 2015 at Winfield Resthaven.
Born on March 1, 1928 in Winfield, Kansas, she was the daughter of Alfred W. and F. Lucille (Reuther) Baucom. She was raised and received her education in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1946.
Hazel was united in marriage to Richard E. Stewart on July 20, 1950 in Manhattan, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield and she was a fulltime homemaker and mom.
She loved attending auctions, flea markets and glass shows, especially shopping for antiques and depression glass.
Her family includes:
Her sons: David Stewart and wife Laurie, and Brad Stewart and wife Christine, all of California;
Her grandchildren: Josh Stewart and wife Heidi, Jessica Thompson and husband Rob, Cody Stewart, and Makayla Stewart; and
Her great-grandchildren: Kaylee, John, Tristan, Samuel and Ava.
Cremation has taken place and no local services are planned.
