Obituary

Hansen Leothus Tennyson, 48, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, September 2, 2017 at his home.
Born November 2, 1968 in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Wade Tennyson and Rosa Lee Pinkard.  He was admitted to Winfield State Hospital and Training Center at the age of 10.  In July of 1990, Hansen was admitted to Focus Developmental and in July 1998, he went to live at Southwind ResCare.
Hansen enjoyed listening to music, using his hand stimulators and watching television.  He hated to be shaved and loved to eat.  If he smelled food, he would go to the kitchen and need to be one of the first to eat.
Survivors include:
His guardian:  Robert Gene Snyder of Ponca City, OK;
His housemates and caretakers from Southwind ResCare; and
A brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Thursday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.

A memorial has been established in Hansen's name for Southwind ResCare.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
