Guy M. Payne, age 71, of Stinnett, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  He was surrounded by loved ones upon his passing.

Born January 6, 1953, in Dalhart, Texas, he was the son of Kenneth G. and Francis "Jiggs" (Hammitt) Payne.  He was a 1971 graduate of Dalhart High School.

Guy married Sherry (Melius) on June 6, 1972.  They had 2 daughters, Melissa and Tessa.

He married Robin Hoyt in 1982 and later divorced in 1995. He had a step-son Timothy Hoyt.

He married Angela Buck in 2001 and was his current wife.

Guy worked as a farmer and rancher the majority of his life.  He loved fishing, hunting, and working with animals.  He enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren.

His family includes his daughters, Tessa Finney and husband, Lonnie of Arkansas City; Melissa Sternweis and husband, Scott of Minong, WI;  his grandchildren Jayden and Dawson Finney of Arkansas City, KS; his wife Angela Payne of Stinnett, TX; his step-daughter Sarah and husband Keith Price along with their sons Cohle, Jaxon, and Trenton of Stinnett, TX;  his step-son Rowdy and wife Melissa Buck along with their sons Rylee and Tyler, of Stinnett, TX; and his dearest cousin Brad Hammitt of Ivanhoe, TX.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jay Payne.

Private family memorial services will be held.  Burial will take place in Texas.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
