Grace C. Paige, 96, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away early Friday morning, June 1, 2018 at Winfield Senior Living.

Born August 16, 1921 in El Dorado, Kansas, she was the daughter of Edgar A. and Elizabeth (Thompson) Cowles. She was raised and received her education in El Dorado and graduated from El Dorado High School. She then went on to attend Wichita State University.

Grace was united in marriage to Bill C. Paige on May 14, 1951 in Bentonville, Arkansas. The couple made their first home in Arizona and later returned to Wichita and then El Dorado to care for Grace's mother. While in El Dorado she worked as a Lab Technician at the El Dorado Hospital. The couple later moved to Eureka, Kansas where Grace was office manager at the Eureka Airport. After retiring, they moved to Reading, Kansas until moving to Winfield to be near family.

Her family includes her husband Bill Paige of Winfield; her son Michael Paige of Wichita; her granddaughter Debra Mallard and husband, Patrick of Wichita; and her great grandchildren, Ian, Joshua, and Emily Mallard.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Alan Cowles, her sister Helen Hutchison, and her daughter-in-law Charlotte Paige.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
