GLORIA A. FINUF, 78, of Wichita, Kansas and formerly of Winfield, passed away Friday morning, April 13, 2012 at her home.
Born on July 22, 1933 in Arkansas City, Kansas, she was the daughter of Earl and Mae (Sparks) Jennings. She was raised and received her education in Arkansas City and graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1951.
She was united in marriage on September 3, 1950 to Melvin Finuf in Arkansas City. The couple moved to Winfield in 1951. Gloria was employed at St. Mary's Hospital as a bookkeeper. She later worked at Graves Drug and Snyder Clinic. In 1971 she began employment at Winfield Medical Arts where she was an office manager for 25 years. Gloria later worked for Jorge Sturich, MD. The couple moved to Wichita in 2009.
She was a member of the Soroptimist in Winfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and reading.

Her brothers: Glen Jennings and wife Sharon of Denton, TX; and Denzel Jennings of Farmington, MO;
Her grandchildren: Tara, Aidan, Ryan, James, Erin, Kayla, Spencer, A.J., and Megan; and
Her great-grandchildren: Eric, Emma, Drew, Cole and Kenzie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Hardy and Cecil; and her grandson, Kurt Finuf.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, April 16, 2012. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., that evening.
Memorials have been established in Gloria's name for the Winfield Soroptimists and Interim Health Care in Wichita. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
