Glenn R. Nearhood's Obituary
GLENN R. NEARHOOD, 35, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday night, January 8, 2012.
Born January 30, 1976 in Newton, Kansas, he was the son of Terry and Norma (McCarter) Nearhood. He attended pre-elementary school in Halstead and elementary, middle and high school in Winfield.
Glenn worked at Calmar as well as different local restaurants.
He enjoyed computers, fishing and the outdoors. He was an avid Detroit Red Wings Hockey fan.
His family includes:
His mother: Norma Nearhood of Winfield;
His brother: Darren Nearhood of Dallas, Texas;
His numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the surrounding area; and
His K-9 companion: China.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
Cremation has taken effect. The family will receive friends at their home, 212 East 12th Street, Winfield, Kansas, on Friday afternoon, January 13, 2012 from 2 to 6 P.M. No services are scheduled. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Glenn's name to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
