Glenda L. Linnabary, 83, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday morning, August 2, 2024 at Winfield Senior Living.
Born November 18, 1940 in Wellington, Kansas, she was the daughter of Dr. Harry George and Garnett (Kearns) Moss. She was raised and received her education in Winfield graduating from Winfield High School. After high school Glenda moved to California and attended Pasadena College.
She married Larry Kilts on June 21, 1959. The couple moved to Southern California for a number of years and started their family. In 1965 they returned to Kansas living in the Udall area. To this union five children were born. The couple later divorced.
She was united in marriage to Jerald "Satch" Linnabary on March 14, 1975 at First United Pentecostal Church in Wichita, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield. Glenda worked at the Coad Candy Co. in Winfield, becoming known as "Kandy". She later worked at Cessna, before starting her career as a caregiver at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center. Satch preceded her in death on June 13, 2015.
She was a member of The Grove Church in Udall. She enjoyed china paint, art, photos and history, reading, and gardening.
Her family includes her children, Laurie Bonnell and husband, Butch of Udall; Maralee Kilts of Udall; Torry Kilts and wife, Lisa of Oxford; Kelly Linnabary and wife, Sheila of Winfield; Kris Kilts and wife Tammy of Kellogg; Julie Evans and husband, Robert; of Udall; Harley Linnabary and wife, Amanda of Winfield; her sister Nancy Biddle of Colorado City, CO; and her 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Glenda was preceded in death by a son Jerry Linnabary, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday August 12, 2024 at The Grove Church in Udall.
A memorial has been established in Glenda's name for the Wounded Warrior Project. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
