GLADYS "PAULINE" DUNBAR, 93, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, October 21, 2010 at Cumbernauld Village.
Born March 25, 1917 in the New Salem community, Pauline was the daughter of Fred Paul and Laura Mabel (Brannon) Sickles. She was raised and educated in various areas throughout Cowley County.
Pauline was united in marriage to Donald Dunbar on February 28, 1936 in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield. Pauline worked at the Winfield High School cafeteria, McClellan's and later for Binney & Smith in the labeling department. She retired from Binney & Smith after a number of years. Even after her retirement, she worked at Binney & Smith as a tour guide. She made her career, however, as a homemaker and a farm wife. Donald preceded her in death on December 3, 1981.
Pauline was a member of the First Christian Church for over 50 years. She was very active and involved in the church.

Her son: Richard Dunbar and wife, Regina of Wichita, KS;
Her daughter: Shirley Wilson and husband, Mike of Salina, KS;
Her grandchildren: Mark, Lori, Jennifer and Ryan;
Her 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Sickles and her sisters, Nellie Sickles and Marie Wilburn.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday afternoon, October 25, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Pauline's name for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
