Gerald Royce Lickly, 73, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 9, 2023, at William Newton Hospital.

Born May 15, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Morris and Gwendolyn Lickly.  Gerald was raised and received his education in the Wichita area, attending Campus High School in Haysville and graduating from East High School in Wichita.  Following school he joined the United States Army.  He proudly served his country, receiving an honorable discharge.

Gerald was united in marriage to Georgia Lauber on November 30, 1968, in Wichita.  The couple made their home in Wichita where Gerald worked.  He worked in the Aircraft industry, beginning at Boeing as a hand former for ten years and then moving to Spirit.  He enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and camping.

Gerald's family includes his wife Georgia Lickly of Winfield; his children, Crystal Simmons and husband, Ty of Burden; Carie Tibbets and husband, Alan of Peabody; Gerald Lickly, Jr. of Winfield; and 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a son Shawn Lickly, a grandson Dalton Lickly, and a great grandson Abel Castaneda.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
