Georgene "Faye" Bagby, 95, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon, September 8, 2008, at William Newton Memorial Hospital.

Born on September 16, 1912, in Burden, Kansas, she was the daughter of Elmer and Maude (Blakey) Steel. She moved with her parents to Blackwater, MO, where she graduated from high school in 1929.

Faye was united in marriage to Edgar Bagby on, June 1, 1930. The couple moved to Santa Monica, California where she graduated from beauty school. Later they moved to Monrovia, CA where she owned and operated her Beauty Shop, for many years. Mr. Bagby preceded her in death in 1968. On June 24, 2000, she moved to Burden, KS to make her home with her sister, Nina Kidd.

In addition to her husband and parents, was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Kidd; a brother, Harold Steel.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Marshall, Missouri. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
