George William Benjamin Fletcher, 26, of Burden, Kansas, passed away Monday afternoon, March 11, 2019, at his home, due to a motor vehicle accident.

Born May 31, 1992 in San Bernardino, California, he was the son of Raymond William Conium and Crystal Faith Fletcher. He was raised and received his education in San Bernardino. George was adopted by his uncle, Daniel Eric Fletcher and aunt, Jeanne Marie (Gilbertson) Fletcher at the age of eight.

George moved to Cedar Vale, Kansas in 2012 to be near his sister. While in Cedar Vale, he met Sara Mundy. The couple moved to Burden in 2012 and in 2014 their daughter was born, Leelah Fletcher. George worked for several area businesses before taking a job as a mechanic in the oil fields in 2018. He enjoyed fishing, going for walks, tinkering with things, working on cars, and sitting around bonfires with family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter.

His family includes his life partner, Sara Mundy of Burden; his daughter Leelah Fletcher of Burden; his siblings, Rachel Maria McNeff of Las Vegas, NV; Sheriese Ann Cordova and husband, Frankie of Broken Arrow, OK; Christopher LeRoy Fletcher and wife, Claribel of San Bernardino, CA; Chandra Bowen and husband, Holden of Broken Arrow, OK; Jason Lee Reynolds of Richland, MO; David Allen Reynolds of Warrenton, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his birth mother, Crystal Faith Fletcher and his adopted father, Daniel Eric Fletcher.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
