GARY W. WEATHERS, 51, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday evening, November 16, 2010 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Born January 27, 1959 in Bellflower, California, he was the son of Wesley and Lois (McKeever) Weathers. Gary was raised and educated mostly in Winfield.

He was a carpenter, rock mason and worked in tree service. He enjoyed making trinkets and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He loved pranks, watching television and nature and flowers. Gary had a big heart and loved his family very much.

His step-father: Sonny Henderson of Winfield;
His long-time companion: Jan Elliott of Winfield;
His son: Rhett Weathers of San Antonio, Texas;
His daughter: Lacy of Winfield;
His brothers: Shane Henderson and wife Missi of Winfield; and Scotty Henderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma;
His sisters: Debi Coon and husband, Paul of Winfield; Tammy Askins and husband, Todd of Winfield; Kimberly Dutton and husband Brian of Winfield; Christina Henderson of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Susan Weathers of Alabama;
His two grandchildren;
Numerous nieces and nephews; and
His K-9 companion: Sam.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning, November 22, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5. The family will greet visitors from 2 to 3 that afternoon.

A memorial has been established to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
