Garrett Lee Misora, 20, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday night, November 20, 2016.
Born October 24, 1996 in Topeka, Kansas, he was the son of Brian and Carol (Philips) Misora. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 2015. Attending Cowley County Community College on an ACT Scholarship, Garrett was involved in the Academic Excellence Challenge and worked in the campus library. He was taking pre-engineering classes and planned to attend Wichita State University when he completed at Cowley.
He was involved in the local Boy Scout Troop #318 and was an Eagle Scout. He loved jazz and swing music. Garrett played the saxophone in jazz band for six years. He enjoyed animation and drawing cartoons. He was a brilliant kid, loved by many and cherished by his family. His best friend was his younger brother, Stuart Misora.

Garrett was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter John Misora, Sr. and his maternal grandfather, Richard E. Philips.
The family will hold services on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, 320 College Street in Winfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Boy Scout Troop 318 in Winfield. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
