Frestine Kapwich, 71, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, November 9, 2024, at her home.

Born May 12, 1953, in Chuuk in the Federated States of Micronesia, she was the daughter of Fred and Faste (Billimon) Peter.  She was raised in Tonoas, Chuuk.  Frestine was married to Sinchy Kapwich.  They moved to the United States in March 2021.  Frestine was a housewife and was also a family seamstress.  Sinchy preceded her in death on July 21, 2022.

Survivors include her nine sons, two daughters, and many grandchildren.

Services will take place in Frestine's home country.
