Francis Mock, 97, previously of Oxford, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, February 21, 2017 at the Botkin Health & Rehab Center in Wellington.
Born September 30, 1919 in Mead, Kansas, she was the daughter of John Bell and Emily J. (Baker) Craig. She was raised and received her education in Mead, graduating from Mead High School in 1937. Francis taught school for a short time. She was united in marriage to Gaylord Mock in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1975. She began working for the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center in 1974 until she retired in 1984.
Francis was a member of Fowler Christian Church and was active in 4H and Merry Makers. She was baptized at eight years old.
Her family includes:
Two nieces and two nephews; and
Many great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Orville, Vona, Mary, Marjorie and Johnnie.
Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery west of Winfield. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 1 to 2 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service.
