Fernando Saenz Lopez went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2015 after fighting the good fight against cancer and while surrounded by his loving family.

Fernando was born January 12, 1956 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico to Leopoldo Saenz and Rafaela Lopez. He was educated in Mexico and came to the United States in 1972. Fernando married Elva Carrasco and to this one daughter was born. The couple later divorced. He married Gloria Zubia and to this union two sons were born.

Fernando worked at BNSF Railroad until his passing. He enjoyed spending time with his family. It was the simple things that made him happy such as going dancing with his wife, watching Family Feud with his grandson, taking selfies with his granddaughter or cooking outside for everyone. His family was the most important to him. Fernando was a hard worker by nature and it showed in all he did, whether at his job or working on a project at home. He was loved by many and his family will miss him immensely.

Fernando is survived by his wife, Gloria, his daughter Elva Boling and son-in-law Jake of Winfield, KS, his sons Derrick Zubia of Midland, TX and Fernando Saenz, Jr of Winfield, KS. His mother Rafaela Lopez of Pecos, TX, sisters Esther Ramirez of Midland, TX, Patricia Natera of Artisia, NM and Alicia Estrada of Juarez, Chihauhau Mexico. Brothers Ramon Saenz of Pecos, TX, Jose "Leo" Saenz of Winfield, KS, Carlos Saenz of Presidio, TX, Jesus Saenz, Arturo Saenz and Jorge Saenz, all of Ojinaga, Chihauhau Mexico. Grandchildren Abryana, Gaven and Kayleigh as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Leopoldo Saenz.

A memorial service will be held in on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. The family would love for all who knew him to come and celebrate Fernando's life with them.
