Fahryn Jo Bryant, 75, El Dorado, passed away Friday evening, October 13, 2023, at the Kansas Medical Center.
Born February 14, 1948, in Ashland, Kansas, she was the daughter of Gordon G. and Faye (Miller) Ferris. She was raised and received her education in the Cedar Vale area. She married Perry Earl "Mick" Bryant in 1966. The couple had two children and later divorced but remained great friends. Fahryn earned her LPN license in 1976. She began her career at the Cedar Vale Hospital and moved to William Newton Memorial Hospital. She spent many years working for St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Fahryn loved people. She was a professional clown and loved to make people laugh. She performed CPR and saved lives outside of work. She loved and cared deeply for all and would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a talented painter.
Her family includes her children, Kelli Heimgartner and husband, James of El Dorado; Keith Bryant and wife, Billie Jo of Cedar Vale; her grandchildren, Tony Daberkow, Amanda Hutchinson and husband, Trevor, Justin Bryant, Reagan Heimgartner, Brylee Heimgartner; and her twin brother Michael Ferris of Wichita.
In addition to her parents, Fahryn was preceded in death by three siblings, Darrell, Ralph, and Calvadeane.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Round Mound Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Fahryn's name for the Alzheimer's Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
