Everette Reeves, 77, of Tunas, Missouri, passed away Sunday morning, May 21, 2017 at his son's home.
Born June 6, 1939 in the family home near Dexter, Kansas, he was the son of Floyd and Catherine (Ridgeway) Reeves. He attended grade school at Otto Grade School and graduated from Dexter High School. He later attended Cowley County Community College, Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. Everette learned to work at a young age, working on the family farm, at a grocery store and for other ranches in the area.
He was united in marriage to Donna Banister on May 29, 1960 in Paola, Kansas. The couple had four children and later divorced. He always served in the ministry and also had several of his own businesses.
Everette was a member of Community Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri. He was very active in his church. He was a leader of the Overcomers Group, enjoyed trout fishing and cattle ranching. He also enjoyed wood working and remodeling and going to auctions. He always had his hand on a DIY project.

His brothers: Larry Reeves and wife, Janice of Dexter, KS; Norman Reeves and wife, Diana of Dexter, KS;
His grandchildren: Tricia White, Krista Rodgers, Mitch Reeves, Dana Madrigal, Taylor Reeves, Brandon MacLaird, Salenna Hedgepath, Hunter Hedgepath, Archer Hedgepath; and
His great grandchildren: Aaron White, Kylee White, Michelangelo Reeves, Rafaella Reeves, Leonardo Reeves, Donatella Reeves, Ariana Madrigal.
In addition to his parents, Everette was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Sasha Eileen Reeves.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Dexter Cemetery. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will also be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:0 P.M. at the Community Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri.
Memorials have been established in Everette's name for the Community Baptist Church in Lebanon, MO and for Kindred Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
