EVERETT D. WEATHERS, 57, of Cherokee, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 in Woods County Oklahoma.
Born on April 7, 1954 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Everett and June I. (Goodwin) Weathers. He was raised and received his education in Winfield. As a young man he helped his father in the carpentry and stone masonry business.
He was united in marriage on November 10, 1973 to Angela Belew. The couple later divorced. Everett had worked in the oilfields as a pumper, drove trucks for 18 years and had also been a mill hand. He moved to Cherokee, Oklahoma in 1981 and had recently taken a job with Brian's Hot Oil & Water Service as a truck driver.
Everett was a devoted Christian. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, fixing things, fishing and telling wild stories.

His brother: Wesley Weathers of Winfield, KS;
His sisters: Loretta King and husband Ralph of Wichita, KS; Lucretia Mobley and husband Carl of Florida; Caroline Nichols of Missouri; and Sherry Miller of Winfield, KS;
His grandchildren: Jessica, Brooke, Joseph, Cort, Brittany, Quentin. Ashton, Kandyce, Jasper and Piper;
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles F. Weathers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
