Elsie Dee Winter, 80, Winfield, Kansas, died August 19, 2022.

Born October 22, 1941, to Sam and Ruth (Hamilton) Barnett, she was raised in Arnett, Oklahoma until moving to Mulvane, Kansas, where she graduated high school. She later received a Bachelor degree from Wichita State University. Dee worked several careers in the Wichita area, including Deputy at the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department.

Survivors include daughters, Lynda (Jarrod) McCullough, of Derby; Debbie (Wayne) Galliart of Belle Plaine; sister Shirley Shepard; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents and brother Sam Barnett.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
