Elsie A. Robbins, 90, of Oxford, Kansas passed away Tuesday morning January 04, 2011 at the Riverview Manor in Oxford.

Born April 28, 1920 in Burden, Kansas, she was the daughter of Edward Spencer and Myra B. (James) Plummer. She was raised and received her education in Burden.

Elsie married Walter Graham in Wichita, Kansas. To this union two children were born. The couple later divorced. She later married Robert Chester Barton in Blackwell, Oklahoma. To this union two children were born. Mr. Barton preceded her in death. She later married James Robbins Jr., in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Sapulpa for many years. Mr. Robbins preceded her in death. Elsie remained in Sapulpa until 2008 when she moved to Oxford to be near family.

She was a member of Southern Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and the Creek County Extension Program. She enjoyed needle point, sewing, and scrabble.

Her sister: Irene Harris of Forney, TX;
Her 7 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Elsie was preceded in death by: three children; Peggy Moore; Frank Graham; Robert C. Barton Jr.; two brothers: Fred Plummer; Francis Plummer; two sisters: Anna Wallace; Alice Harris Miller; and a grandson: Eric Graham.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 07, 2011 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Burden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, January 06, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established in Elsie's name for Harry Hynes Hospice, and for Riverview Manor. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
