ELSIE L. MILNER, 56, of Arkansas City, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2013 at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center.
Born July 11, 1957 in Sacramento, California, she was the daughter of Marvin and Wanda Lee (Merchen) Holden. In 1959 her family moved to Wichita where she was raised and received her education.
Elsie was united in marriage to Billy Milner on July 11, 1980 in Wichita. The couple lived in Wichita and Oklahoma before moving to Burden in 1993. They made their home in Arkansas City six years ago. Elsie was a stay at home mom while her children were young and she volunteered at the schools. She worked for Casco and Rubbermaid and was currently working for Southwind Rescare.
She enjoyed her flower gardens, loved all animals including horses and dolphins and loved to fish and camp and be outside. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandbabies.

Her brother: Marvin Eddie Holden, Jr. of Wichita;
Her sisters: Debbie Pendland of Arkansas City; and Barbara Logan and husband, James of Howard; and
Her grandchildren: Jeffrey Dean Holden, Jr., Angela Marie Rumsey-Milner, Marissa Elsie Milner, Tony Brogan, Garrett Ray Smith, Maddie Renee Brogan, William Joseph Rumsey-Milner, Kimberlie Paige Brogan, and Vennie Milner.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Lee Holden, her sister, Carolyn Holden, and her infant daughter, Ashleigh Milner.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
A Memorial has been established in Elsie's name to help defray funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
