Obituary

ELLA L. FULLER, 96, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, February 27, 2011 at the Riverview Manor in Oxford.

Born on January 9, 1915 in Long Beach, California, she was the daughter of William Rodwell and Lucille (Holley) Echard. She attended L.B. Schools and California State University in Long Beach. Ella then completed nurses training at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

A veteran of World War II., Mrs. Fuller proudly served her county in the United States Air Force Nurse Corp as a Flight Nurse, in the Pacific Theater. She retired as Captain.

She was united in marriage in 1946 to Lt. Col. Ralph B. Fuller and spent the following 30 years going with him to each new assignment including Japan and Spain. Following retirement, the couple moved to Maui, Hawaii where they resided for 24 years before moving to Winfield. Mr. Fuller preceded her in death in 2003.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Winfield and a previous member of the United Methodist Church in Lahaina, Maui.

Her family includes:
Her sons: Peter Fuller of Winfield, KS: James Fuller of California; and John Fuller of Oregon;
Her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Cremation has taken place and her cremains will be scattered at sea at a later date.
