ELIZABETH LOUISE MURRAY, 77, and wife of K.B. Murray, pastor of Millington Street Baptist Church, Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, March 23, 2009 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.
Born on December 5, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of Edward James and Goldie Lee (Fraley) Rains. She was raised and educated in rural Dallas, Texas and was responsible for helping raise her siblings.
Louise was united in marriage to K.B. Murray on September 7, 1949 in Dallas, Texas. The couple lived in Dallas. They began their ministry together in Springfield, Missouri and served in Stillwater, Oklahoma and Neodesha, Kansas, and was a fulltime homemaker as well. They have resided in Winfield for 42 years and Louise had been a resident at Rest Haven since April of 2006.
She was a member of the Millington Street Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving the Lord with her husband. Louise also enjoyed reading, drawing, crocheting and camping.

Her daughters: Deborah L. Williams and husband Mark of Mexico City, Mexico; Christy G. Smith and husband Brad of Derby, KS; and Mischelle R. Foster and husband Stan of Owasso, OK;
Her brother: Eddie Rains of Seattle, WA;
Her sisters: Betty Mason of Gainsville, TX; and Loretta Martin of Krum, TX;
Her grandchildren: Becky, Patti, Rachel, Bradley, Kemberly, Jonathan, Jason, Melissa, Matthew, Cinthya, Faith, Amity, Sarah, Nathan, Meredith, Katie, Craig, Brooke, Ian, Gracen and Maddisen.; and
Her 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Murray in 1984; and her brother, James Rains.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Millington Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 25, 2009. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M., that evening.
A memorial has been established in Mrs. Murray's name for the Millington Street Baptist Church. Contributions may be made through the church or the funeral home.
