Elizabeth Julia "Betty" Lipprand, 89, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the home of her daughter.

Born November 24, 1932, in Kyle, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of Lajos (Louis) and Julia (Kavinsky) Toth. She was raised and received her education in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada. She then went on to Secretarial Training School and worked as a 'Kelly Girl' doing bookkeeping until 1957, first in Montreal, Quebec, and then in Great Bend, Kansas. After the birth of her first child in 1957, she transitioned to being a full-time housewife and mother.

Betty met Donald C. Lipprand when they happened to sit by each other at a Watchtower Convention at Yankee Stadium, in New York City in July 1953. The couple married on December 7, 1955, in Russell, Kansas. They made their home in Russell for many years, moving to Winfield in 2012. Don preceded her in death on July 18, 2018.

Betty was baptized as a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses on August 24, 1944 and was active in the Russell congregation for 57 years. After moving to Winfield, she continued to actively share bible truths with others until her death.

Her family includes her daughters, Lynda Yale and husband, Glenn of Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Marjorie Engle and husband, Scott of Winfield; her son Richard Lipprand and wife, Lillian of Omaha, NE; her daughter-in-law Cindy Lipprand of Omaha, NE; her sisters, Anne Busby and Alice Crotenko; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a sister Helen Ksik and a brother Joe Toth.

Memorial services will be held via Zoom on July 30, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. (CST)
