Elisabeth Caroline Spainhour, 61, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her home.

Born March 9, 1960, in Topeka, she was the daughter of Con R. and Barbara Ann (Beers) Spainhour. She was raised and received her education in Kingman and Cheney. She then attended Wichita State University and Friends University, receiving a Bachelor degree in Information Systems.

Elisabeth was united in marriage to Regis Walsh on March 6, 1982, in Greensburg, Kansas. The couple made their first home in Wichita. They lived in Mulvane, Lawrence, and Topeka, before moving to Winfield in 2012 to help care for Elisabeth's parents. Elisabeth was an independent contractor for many years, writing software and working in IT. She was currently working at Clock Medical Supply in software and development.

She was an avid reader. If it had words, she would read it. She especially enjoyed Sci-Fi and Stephen King novels.

Her family includes her husband Regis Walsh of Winfield; her daughter Meghan Flanders and husband, Camron of Lawrence; her grandchildren, Jesse and Fiona Flanders; and her siblings, Sara (Robert) Jones of Clearwater; Julia (Rebecca) Spainhour of Shawnee; Kathryn (Russell) Neuenschwander of Yukon, OK; Martha (Scott) Lehner of Cheney; John (Jodi) Spainhour of Wichita; Sam (Cari) Spainhour of Sapulpa, OK; and Suzanne (Brian) Gentry of Winfield.

Elisabeth was preceded in death by her parents and her son Con Walsh.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established in Elisabeth's name for Van-Go, Inc., in Lawrence, Kansas.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
