Edward Ryan Wayne Stevens, 45, of Atlanta, Kansas, passed away Sunday evening, January 26, 2025, at his home.
Born September 23, 1979, in Girard, Kansas, he was the son of Edward Wayne Stevens and Sandra Burns. He was raised and received his early education in Pittsburg, Frontenac, and Fort Scott. He later moved to Arkansas City, Kansas, where he attended high school. After school, Eddie got a degree in Aircraft Fabrication and later was licensed as a Certified Nurse's Assistant.
He was united in marriage to Christle Reeder on March 27, 2003, in Fort Scott, Kansas. The couple made their first home in Mulberry, Kansas and Eddie worked for Pitt Plastics. In 2005, the family moved to Burden, Kansas, and Eddie continued commuting and working at Pitt Plastics. After receiving his CNA certification, he began working for Mosaic in 2007 where he remained until retiring in 2022. In addition to his full-time employment, Eddie and Christle owned and operated a rental property business. Christle preceded him in death on December 24, 2022.
He was an avid collector of video games and comics, he was known as a completist because he would buy partial collections and complete them. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to BOB FM radio, and doting on his wife Christle.
His family includes his children, Dominic Demaranville, Samantha Demaranville, Alysha Stevens, Breanna Stevens, Piper Stevens, Ace Stevens; his mother Sandra Picconatto (Jon); his siblings, Angela Neil (Chad), Julie Peters (Matt), Jessie Feugate (Collina), Kayle Flower (Ray Hull), Rachael Stevens (Jimmy Reed), Jennifer Bruce (Jason); his grandchildren, Emmitte, Lenox, Everleigh, Peyton, and twins on the way, Liam and Ryan.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, his wife Christle, and an infant child.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 3, 2025, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
A memorial has been established in Eddie's name for The Cancer Research Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
