Edward "Mark" McCoy, 56, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Wednesday morning, August 19, 2015, at his home.
Born June 9, 1959 in Boise, Idaho, he was the son of Wayne and Bonnie (Stone) McCoy. While he was young his family traveled all over the United States. He graduated from Capital High School in Boise, Idaho in 1977.
Mark married Theresa Thomas in 1985. The couple made their home in Idaho where Mark worked in Sales for the Coca Cola Company. In 1990 Mark was transferred with Coca Cola to Winfield, Kansas where he worked in management. He and Theresa later started the Covey Restaurant which they owned and operated for several years. Mark then attended and graduated from Vatterott College in Wichita, Kansas with a degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He worked as a technician in maintenance for Builders an Ice Masters, both in Wichita. The couple later divorced.
He met and married Marsha Hamilton in Winfield, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield, and Mark worked for Southwestern College in the maintenance department. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching TV and movies.

His mother: Bonnie Rosenloft of Portland, OR;
His sisters: Jenny Wall of Washington; Mickie McCoy of Boise, ID;
His brother: Joe McCoy and wife, Lora of Boise, ID; and
His grandson: Jackson McCoy.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established in Mark's name for Habitat for Humanity. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
