Edward Charles Davidson, 98, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, April 17, 2021 at Winfield Senior Living Community.

Born March 11, 1923 in rural Madison, Kansas, he was the son of Edgar Charles and Mamie Etta (Voorhees) Davidson. He was raised and received his education in Madison, graduating from Madison High School in 1941. He worked on his parents' farm until 1951. Ed took up body and fender work and made that his occupation until retiring in May 1990 from Lesh Motors in Pratt, Kansas.

Ed moved to Sterling, Kansas in 1996 and was united in marriage to Doris I. Snyder on May 30, 1999 at Grace Baptist Church in Wichita. The couple made their home in Winfield. He enjoyed woodworking.

His family includes his wife Doris of Winfield; his daughter from a previous marriage, Connie Jo Yust and husband, Richard of Montezuma; his step-sons, Loren Lynn Hayden of Sterling; Kenneth Snyder of Burden; Donald L. Snyder of Virginia; step-daughter Ruth A. Knouf of Wichita; his grandchildren, Derek, Michael, Jonathan, and Christopher Yust; and great grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Clara, and Elizabeth.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd, John, and Maurice Davidson, and sister Dorothy Shumake and Margaret Mowdy.

Funeral services will be held at Miles Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at the Udall Cemetery. All friends and family are invited and masks are required. A visitation is scheduled on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Ed's name for the First Baptist Church of Burden. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
