Edna "Eileen" Hopkins, 88, of Udall, Kansas, passed away early Sunday morning, December 30, 2018 at her home.

Born November 17, 1930 in Deer, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Henry Oral and Sally (Wheeler) Adams. She was raised and received her education in Hurricane, Arkansas.

Eileen was united in marriage to Gailard Donald Hopkins on November 18, 1949. The couple made their lifelong home in Udall. She worked part-time in cafés and in the cafeteria at the school, but she made her career being a homemaker and taking care of her family.

Eileen was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mulvane. She enjoyed needlework, quilting, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, cooking, and baking. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her church.

Her family includes her husband Gailard of Udall; her sons, Lance Hopkins and wife, Kerry of Winfield; Craig Hopkins and wife Lulita of Udall; Steve Hopkins and wife, Jennifer of Hoisington; her siblings, Lillian Murray of AR; Iva Sory of AR; Ava Blanchard of OK; Robert Adams of KS; James Adams of KS; Leroy Adams of KS; Nadene Clayton of IN; Darlene Sullivan of IN; Patty McElhany of IN; her grandchildren, Tonya, Jeremy, Chad, Tierney, Jessica, Wesley, Ashlynn, James, Zakk, Allison, Abigail, Emily, Deanie, Braeden, Bryce, Bradley, Hannah, Kayla, and Patrick; and her great grandchildren, Layke, Treyten, Chloe, Paycie, Addison, Brylee, Emarie, Lillian, and Lila.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Leota Adams.

The family will hold memorial services on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Nazarene Church of Udall. Private inurnment will take place at the Udall Cemetery at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established to assist the family with expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
