DWAYNE "BUB" RUTTER, 74, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Sunday evening, March 28, 2010 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Kansas.

Born on December 30, 1935 in Udall, Kansas, he was the son of Vere and Hazel (Atkins) Rutter. He was raised and received his education in Udall and graduated from Udall High School in 1954. Dwayne served in the National Guard for a short time. He returned to Udall where he helped on the family farm.

He was united in marriage on August 8, 1966 to Winnie Taylor in Mulvane, Kansas. They made their home in Udall where Dwayne continued farming. The couple later divorced. He retired from farming in 2009.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his daily trips to the coffee shop. Dwayne also enjoyed attending the Winfield Livestock auction every Wednesday.

His son: Terry Rutter of Udall, KS;
His daughter: Gina Saavedra and husband Art of Winfield, KS; and
His grandchildren: Josh, Jed, Ry, Veena, Ethan, Cassi, Adriana, Jordan, Megan and Abriann.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at the Udall Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
