Obituary

DOUGLAS L. ELLIOTT, 70, of Udall, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.

Born on January 27, 1938 in Aline, Oklahoma, he was the son of George L. and Elfreda (Mittlestet) Elliott. He received his education in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from East High School in 1955. Following graduation, Douglas joined the United States Navy where he was a dental technician.

He was united in marriage to Suzanne Williams on October 19, 1957 in Seattle, Washington. After serving six years in the United States Navy, the couple moved to Wichita and he was employed as a dental technician. The couple later moved to Haysville where Douglas owned and operated his own lab. The couple moved to Udall in the early 90's.

Douglas was a member of Country View Baptist Church in Udall. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and gardening.

His sons: Michael Elliott and wife Connie of Derby, KS; Joseph Elliott and wife Terri of Keystone, FL; Jonathan Elliott of Haysville, KS; and Jeffery Elliott of San Antonio, TX;
His brothers: Richard Elliott of Murpheys, CA; and George Elliott of Arnold, CA;
His grandchildren: Jennifer, Tiffany, Haley, Alyssa, Matthew, Timothy, Melissa, Scott and Kristina; and
His great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Hannah, Anthony and Cameron.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
