Dordi Marie Herrman, 75, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, October 24, 2020 at her home.

Born September 19, 1945 in Moss, Norway, she was the daughter of John Erling and Berit (Trulsen) Andersen. She was raised and received her education in Norway. Dordi met Alan Herrman while in Denver, Colorado working as an au pair. The couple was married on November 14, 1965 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Winfield. The couple made their first home in Wichita where they worked at Henry's Department Store. They moved to Kansas City and then California for a number of years, and then on to Denver, before settling back in Winfield and re-starting the family business, Herrman Realty, and eventually becoming the founders of Herrman Realty Management & Appraisal. Dordi worked as the office manager and property manager for the company.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. She enjoyed golfing and painting. "I miss you terribly Mom. You were my best friend. Thank you for the unconditional love you gave me each and every day of my life, John."

Her family includes her husband Alan Herrman of Winfield; her daughter Layne Andrea May of Edmond, OK; her son John Matthew of Oklahoma City, OK; her granddaughter Emily Pollard and husband, Jackson of Salt Lake City, UT; and her sister-in-law Grete Anderson of Moss, Norway.

In addition to her parents, Dordi was preceded in death by a brother Edgar Anker Andersen.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Dordi's name for the Snyder Foundation. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
