Donna Hopper, 73, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday morning, November 2, 2024, at her home.

Born April 12, 1951, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Leonard C. "Pete" and Joan "Judy" (Vaughn) Kukuk.  She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1969.

Donna was united in marriage to Jerry L. Hopper on July 18, 1970, in Winfield, where the couple made their home.  Donna went to work at the lumber yard.  In 1975, the couple started Hopper Oil Company, a business they owned and operated for over 40 years until retiring in 2019.  The couple enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.  Jerry preceded her in death on March 24, 2023.

Her family includes her son Matthew Hopper and wife, Echo of Winfield; her daughter Michelle McGinnis and husband, Ash of Winfield; her sister Virgine McKnight of Grand Ledge, MI; and her grandchildren, Alicyn, Emercyn, Austin, Madison, and Allison.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A viewing is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 4 to 8 P.M.  Private family graveside services will be held at Tannehill Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Donna's name for the Parkinson's Foundation.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
