Obituary

Donald Allen Ghan, 63, of Oxford, Kansas passed away at his home on July 6th, 2024.  He was born on December 28, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas to Junior Daniel Ghan and Barbara Jean (Fraley) Ghan.

He attended Allison Junior High School and West High School.  After high school he enlisted into the United States Marines where he was later medically discharged.  The majority of his career was spent driving trucks for several different companies. Through the years he hauled a lot of various things, but his favorite was hauling bees all over the United States. In 2016 he retired from White Trucking company out of Hadar, Nebraska.

When Don wasn't trucking he loved hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles with his brother and friends. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and family and spending time with them, along with his beloved dog Haley.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Leona Irene (Herrell) Ghan;  Lloyd Henry Fraley and Alta LaVerne (Wolfe) Fraley.

He is survived by his parents Junior and Barbara Ghan of Winfield; Brother, Michael Ghan of Wilmont; Sisters, Pennie (Kevin) Randall of Solomon; Jeannie (Brian) Grow of Atlanta; Vickie Grow of Douglass; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken effect under the direction of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield, KS and a private family service will take place at a later date.

Memorials have been established for Wounded Warriors Project or for DaVita Renal Treatment Center in Winfield Kansas. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
