DONALD E. DONOHUE, 52, of Douglass, Kansas, formerly of Arkansas City, KS passed away Sunday afternoon, September 16, 2012 at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield, Kansas.
Born on June 27, 1960 in Arkansas City, Ks. He was the son of Ivan Charles and Mary Ruth (Voightlander) Donohue. Donald had battled Myotonic Dystrophy from a young age. He was a high school graduate from Arkansas City in 1980. He lived with his mother and stepfather Robbie Long until her passing in 1998. Donald was then cared for by his brother David and his wife Ruthe.
He enjoyed puzzle books, television, music and fishing. He was a joy to his nieces and nephews who all adored his easy going humorous nature. Donald became friends with many of the residents at Medicalodge of Douglass this past year.

His brothers: David Donohue of Arkansas City and Danny Donohue and wife Johnnie of Winfield, KS;
His sister Patricia Street and husband Clyde of Wyoming;
His friend and guardian Ruthe Arie of Arkansas City, KS; and
Many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a memorial service at 6:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Medicalodge of Douglass.
