Donald D. Daniels, 84, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday evening, February 12, 2022, at his home, surrounded by family.

Don was born April 21, 1937, in Winfield to Marshall and Maudene (Rutter) Daniels. He grew up in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1955. He went on to graduate from Pittsburg Teachers College in 1959. Don served as a commissioned officer in the Army reserves and later served in the Kansas National Guard, retiring after more than 20 years in service.

He was united in marriage to Treva Radcliff on June 1, 1956, in Miami, Oklahoma. Don spent his working years as a Teacher and Coach at various Kansas schools and ended his working career as a member of the maintenance crew at Southwestern College in Winfield.

He was a member of Dexter Christian Church. A couple of his passions were his family and basketball.

Don is survived by his wife Treva; sons, Allen Daniels and wife, Marti; David Daniels; Paul Daniels and wife, Cindy; his grandchildren, Shane Niehoff, Harley Daniels, David Daniels, Dustin Daniels, Levi Daniels, Amanda Coon, Bionca (Austin) Keesey, Alexsa Coon, Michael Daniels; and 12 great grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services and Military Committal Honors will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.

Memorials have been established in Don's name to help defray funeral expenses or to Winfield Relay for Life. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
