DIXIE KAY FOUCH, 53, of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover.
Born September 11, 1958 in Beloit, Kansas, she was the daughter of Duane and Margaret Joan (Jarvis) McElroy. She spent her childhood on the farm and attended grade school in Randall, Kansas. She attended high school in Jewell, Kansas.
Dixie worked at Rubbermaid for several years. She most recently worked for Creative Community Living as a caregiver. She was united in marriage to Terry Fouch on July 19, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple made their home in Las Vegas until two years ago, when they moved to Cambridge, Kansas.
Dixie enjoyed football, and loved the Kansas City Chiefs and the KU Jayhawks. She also enjoyed gardening, relaxing on the pontoon boat, camping, bingo and her fish tank. Dixie was know by many as 'mom' and 'grandma'. She especially enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to take the grandkids to see the horses and loved going to their sporting events.

Her brother: Travis McElroy and wife, Jessica of Beverly, KS;
Her sister: Ann Wheeler and fiance, Howard Houk of Salina;
Her grandchildren: Tory, Sklya and Aryn Setzkorn, Jack and Taylor Spencer, Alexis Walker, Tristan Rojas, Audrik Parker, Hadley Reedy, and Annariah Anderson; and
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Joan, and two young brothers.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors during this time.
A memorial fund has been established in Dixie's name at Miles Funeral Service. The family will be dividing contributions between funeral expenses and the American Heart Association.
