Diane Marie Daniels, 74, of Winfield, passed away May 28, 2018 at her home.

She was born on February 10, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Catherine M. (Iverson) and Carl D. Colquhoun. Shortly after graduating from Arkansas City High School she married and moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia.  She was a breakfast cook while her husband was in the military for 5 years.  She has lived in Winfield since 1993 and worked as a mental health technician at the Winfield State Hospital and Training Center for over 20 years until its closing.

Diane loved to read, crochet, watch college sports and she adored animals.

She is survived by her daughter Roxanne Bartlett of Winfield; her sons Ron Raney and wife, Toni of Winfield; Timothy Nihart and wife, Leigh of Winfield; Danny Waite and wife, Dawn of Broken Arrow, OK; James Colquhoun and wife, Marie of Salt Lake City, UT; her brother Gerald Colquhoun and wife, Joan of Salt Lake City, UT; her sisters Sue Kuehn and husband, Bill of Salt Lake City, UT; Cheryl Colquhoun of Winfield; and her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Diane was preceded in death by her brother Richard Colquhoun.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Diane's name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
