DENNIS LEE TOPPER, 56, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at his home.
Born on September 20, 1958 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Abraham and Vonda (Reams) Topper. He received his education in Burden, Kansas where he graduated from Central High School in 1976. He later attended Cowley County Community College where he obtained a mechanics degree.
Dennis was employed at Calmar and also Casco as a mold technician. In addition to those jobs, Dennis was a mechanic. He enjoyed working on hot rods and his SS Cheville.
During his commitment with Jody Taylor, they were blessed by the birth of their son, Nathan.
Dennis was later committed to Suzanne Ham from 1993 to 2001 and they lived in Burden.
He was a member of the Burden United Methodist Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews. Dennis was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed visiting with and hanging out with his son, Nathan, and dearest friend, Norma Cloud, loving life.

His brother: Michael Topper of Winfield, KS;
His grandchildren: Alyssa Topper, Dahlia Hernandez, Staton Nelson, Whitney Nelson, Kenny Gerlets Jr., Brittany Price, Joshua Price, Jerry Bergkamp Jr., and Jeremiah Bergkamp; and
Several nieces and nephews, including Lorine Coy and husband Jonathan, Craig Topper and wife Kristy and Raydel Massey and husband Brad.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vonda Topper; his granddaughter, Abigail Moody and several aunts and uncles.
Private inurnment services to be held by the family at a later date.
Memorials have been established in Dennis's name for the American Diabetes Association and the American Sleep Apnea Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
