Dennis Duane Snow, Sr., 79, previously of Arkansas City, passed away Monday morning, August 14, 2023, at The Center at Waterfront in Wichita.

Dennis was born on May 26, 1944 in Arkansas City where he was raised and received his education.  Dennis worked in the oil field business developing and patenting a still that checked for organic fluorides in crude oil.  He owned and operated Snows Tank Service for nine years. Later, he started Kansas Krude Oil Reclaiming which he owned and operated for four years.  Dennis retired in 2012 after 19 years of driving a truck for Interstate Brands Corporation (Hostess).  Because he was accident free all those years, he earned the Million Mile Safe Driving award.

Dennis was a proud 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite, joining in 1975 and maintaining his membership until his passing.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and working with leather in his later years.

Dennis' family includes his children, Dennis Duane Snow, Jr. and wife, Alicia of North Carolina; Tina Michel and husband, Ken of Smith Center; Cassie Snow of Moundridge; Tonya Zwetzig and husband, Matt of Inman; his eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service in Winfield.
