Obituary

Delbert L. Daniel, 75, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away May 18, 2015.

Born January 13, 1940 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Ralph and Agnes (Martin) Daniel of Dexter, Kansas. Delbert grew up in the Dexter community, graduating from Dexter High School in 1958. He then graduated from Cowley County Community College in 1960. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State in 1963 and his Master's in Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State in 1979.

Delbert was director of the Winfield SRS office from 1967 to 1976. He later served as elementary principal at Marland, Oklahoma as well as Perry, Oklahoma in the later 1980's and early 1990's.

Mr. Daniel had been a substitute teacher for USD 465 and USD 470 for the last three years. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield, and a board member of the local CDDO for the disabled.

Delbert was married to Betty Muret Eastman on September 10, 2011 in Branson, Missouri.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Cecile Wallace and brother, Gilbert Daniel.

Survivors include:
His wife: Betty of the home;
Sons: Ted Keehn and wife, Beth of Sequiem, Washington; Ralph Daniel of Aberdeen, Washington;
Step-Daughters: Kelley Hudson and husband, Jonathan of Wichita; Sharon Eastman of Winfield; and
Step granddaughter: Rylee Hudson of Wichita.

Private Memorial services will be held at a later date. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

A Memorial has been established in Delbert's name for Grace United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
